APYC Learn to Sail Training

Albert Park Lake provides an excellent, safe and convenient location to learn to sail.  
We offer training to all members for a once off cost of $180 for Seniors and Family Membership, and $90 for Juniors.

Bookings are essential
Classes Saturday 9am to 12noon
Learn to sail Level 1
Learn To Sail  Level 2


Learn To Sail 1
Learn the basics of sailing on the protected waters of Albert Park Lake
with the aid of experienced instructors who will be in the boat with you.


Learn To Sail 2:
Begin the path to independent sailing. By the end of the course you will
be capable of sailing a small dinghy on your own in moderate winds.

How to get involved


  1. join the club
  2. We will schedule you into the next available Learn To Sail  course.
  3. Participate in our club sailing events.
  4. Eventually you may wish to buy a boat.  We can help you decide which is best for you.
