Albert Park Lake provides an excellent, safe and convenient location to learn to sail. The Albert Park Yacht Club sailing school offers free training to our members.

Training is held on Saturday mornings at 10am and bookings are essential. More information about the courses and trainers is available at the links below.

How to get involved

We only offer training to members of Albert Park Yacht Club, so here's how we suggest you get involved:

1. Decide whether you want to join a club, eventually buy a boat and participate in club sailing events.
2. If the answer is YES, download a Membership Application Form.
   If the answer to this is NO, maybe you are looking for casual lessons which you can get from our neighbour - Jolly Roger Sailing School.
3. Complete the application form and get it to us:
   - Pop down to the club on a Saturday between midday and 6pm (we are usually racing between 2pm and 4pm, so less people will be around then to say Hi, but it's a good time to see some boats on the water!).
   - Post it to us at: PO BOX 3, Albert Park 3206
4. Contact our Training Co-ordinators and we'll schedule you in for the next available course.
